Protect the Business You've Built
Forming a business is only the beginning. Once a business exists, the owner needs to take basic steps to protect its identity, finances, records, operations, and ability to do business.
This beginner-level Foundation course introduces practical business-protection concepts, including separating business and personal finances, protecting business records and identity, understanding licenses and permits, recognizing common business risks, and understanding the role insurance can play in managing those risks.
You'll also see how these protections work together as a business moves from simply being formed to being better prepared to operate and pursue opportunities—including government contracting.
No prior government-contracting experience is required.
GovClass™ Learning Standard: See It → Name It → Understand It → Try It → Check It → Find Your Next Step.
